vhdimount command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: vhdimount: command not found

In Ubuntu vhdimount is provided by libvhdi-utils package.

libvhdi-utils is:

libvhdi is a library to access the Virtual Hard Disk (VHD) image format.

This package contains tools to access data stored in VHD files: vhdiinfo, vhdimount.

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install libvhdi-utils

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install libvhdi-utils.

sudo apt -y install libvhdi-utils

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install libvhdi-utils
