svgview command not found

svgview: command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: svgview: command not found

In Ubuntu svgview is provided by libwxsvg-tools package.

libwxsvg-tools is:

wxSVG is a C++ library to create, manipulate and render Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) files with the wxWidgets toolkit.

This package contains the svgviewer tool

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install libwxsvg-tools

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install libwxsvg-tools.

sudo apt -y install libwxsvg-tools

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install libwxsvg-tools
