statik command not found

statik: command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: statik: command not found

In Ubuntu statik is provided by golang-statik package.

golang-statik is:

statik allows you to embed a directory of static files into your Go binary to be later served from an http.FileSystem.

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install golang-statik

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install golang-statik.

sudo apt -y install golang-statik

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install golang-statik
