In Ubuntu sass is provided by ruby-sass package.

ruby-sass is:

It’s translated to well-formatted, standard CSS using the command line tool or a web-framework plugin.

Ruby Sass should no longer be used and will no longer be receiving any active development. Please use sassc or ruby-sassc instead.

sudo apt-get -y install ruby-sass

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install ruby-sass.

sudo apt -y install ruby-sass
