rup command not found

rup: command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: rup: command not found

In Ubuntu rup is provided by rstat-client package.

rstat-client is:

This package contains rup(1) and rsysinfo(1), clients for rstatd.

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install rstat-client

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install rstat-client.

sudo apt -y install rstat-client

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install rstat-client
