qperf command not found

Introduction

When you run more command in linux terminal / console, you get the following error message

qperf: command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: qperf: command not found

In Ubuntu qperf is provided by qperf package.

qperf is:

qperf measures bandwidth and latency between two nodes. It can work over TCP/IP as well as the RDMA transports.

qperf is historically part of the OpenFabrics Enterprise Distribution (OFED), but is now maintained by the linux-rdma project.

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install qperf

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install qperf.

sudo apt -y install qperf

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install qperf
