python2-dbg-config command not found

When you run more command in linux terminal / console, you get the following error message

python2-dbg-config: command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: python2-dbg-config: command not found

In Ubuntu python2-dbg-config is provided by python2-dbg package.

python2-dbg is:

Python2 interpreter configured with –pydebug. Dynamically loaded modules are searched in /usr/lib/python2.7/lib-dynload/debug first.

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install python2-dbg

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install python2-dbg.

sudo apt -y install python2-dbg

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install python2-dbg
