pyproject-build command not found

pyproject-build: command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: pyproject-build: command not found

In Ubuntu pyproject-build is provided by python3-build package.

python3-build is:

python-build will invoke the PEP 517 hooks to build a distribution package. It is a simple build tool and does not perform any dependency management.

This package installs the library for Python 3.

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install python3-build

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install python3-build.

sudo apt -y install python3-build

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install python3-build
