popa3d command not found

Introduction

When you run more command in linux terminal / console, you get the following error message

popa3d: command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: popa3d: command not found

In Ubuntu popa3d is provided by popa3d package.

popa3d is:

popa3d is fast, small and secure pop3 daemon. It’s written from scratch by Solar Designer for Owl (Openwall GNU/*/Linux).

Popa3d can work both in standalone or inetd mode.

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install popa3d

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install popa3d.

sudo apt -y install popa3d

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install popa3d
