pgqd command not found

pgqd: command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: pgqd: command not found

In Ubuntu pgqd is provided by pgqd package.

pgqd is:

PgQ provides generic queues for PostgreSQL. It allows multiple queues in one database, each queue can be consumed by multiple consumers.

This package contains the queue maintenance daemon pgdq.

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install pgqd

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install pgqd.

sudo apt -y install pgqd

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install pgqd
