musl-gcc command not found

musl-gcc: command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: musl-gcc: command not found

In Ubuntu musl-gcc is provided by musl-tools package.

musl-tools is:

musl is lightweight, fast, simple, free and strives to be correct in the sense of standards-conformance and safety.

This package contains the musl-gcc wrapper script for the native architecture, to make easy-to-deploy static and minimal dynamically linked programs.

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install musl-tools

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install musl-tools.

sudo apt -y install musl-tools

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install musl-tools
