mixlib-install command not found

mixlib-install: command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: mixlib-install: command not found

In Ubuntu mixlib-install is provided by ruby-mixlib-install package.

ruby-mixlib-install is:

Ruby library providing mixin to help with omnitruck installs.

Used by Chef related tools.

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install ruby-mixlib-install

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install ruby-mixlib-install.

sudo apt -y install ruby-mixlib-install

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install ruby-mixlib-install
