log4c-config command not found

log4c-config: command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: log4c-config: command not found

In Ubuntu log4c-config is provided by liblog4c-dev package.

liblog4c-dev is:

Log4c is a library of C for flexible logging to files, syslog and other destinations.

It is modeled after the Log for Java library (http://logging.apache.org), staying as close to their API as is reasonable.

This package contains the Log4c development files.

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install liblog4c-dev

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install liblog4c-dev.

sudo apt -y install liblog4c-dev

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install liblog4c-dev
