live-config command not found

Introduction

When you run more command in linux terminal / console, you get the following error message

live-config: command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: live-config: command not found

In Ubuntu live-config is provided by live-config package.

live-config is:

The Debian Live project maintains the components to build Debian based Live systems and the official Debian Live images themselves.

live-config contains the components to configure a live system during the boot process (late userspace).

In addition to live-config, a backend for an init system is required, such as live-config-systemd.

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install live-config

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install live-config.

sudo apt -y install live-config

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install live-config
