clhep-config command not found

Introduction

When you run more command in linux terminal / console, you get the following error message

clhep-config: command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: clhep-config: command not found

In Ubuntu clhep-config is provided by libclhep-dev package.

libclhep-dev is:

CLHEP provides a set of HEP-specific foundation and utility classes such as random generators, physics vectors, geometry and linear algebra.

This package provides development files of CLHEP.

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install libclhep-dev

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install libclhep-dev.

sudo apt -y install libclhep-dev

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install libclhep-dev
