axfr-get command not found

axfr-get: command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: axfr-get: command not found

In Ubuntu axfr-get is provided by axfrdns package.

axfrdns is:

axfrdns reads a zone-transfer request in DNS-over-TCP format from its standard input, and responds with locally configured information.

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install axfrdns

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install axfrdns.

sudo apt -y install axfrdns

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install axfrdns
