assword command not found

assword: command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: assword: command not found

In Ubuntu assword is provided by assword package.

assword is:

Assword has been renamed to Impass.

This is a dummy transitional package; please use “impass” instead.

It is safe to remove this package.

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install assword

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install assword.

sudo apt -y install assword

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install assword
