asp-state4 command not found

asp-state4: command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: asp-state4: command not found

In Ubuntu asp-state4 is provided by mono-xsp4 package.

mono-xsp4 is:

XSP is a simple web server written in C# that can be used to run your ASP.NET 4.0 applications.

This is the standalone ASP.NET web server. If you want to run ASP.NET applications with Apache, look at mono-apache-server.

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install mono-xsp4

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install mono-xsp4.

sudo apt -y install mono-xsp4

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install mono-xsp4
