asciidoctor-pdf command not found

asciidoctor-pdf: command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: asciidoctor-pdf: command not found

In Ubuntu asciidoctor-pdf is provided by ruby-asciidoctor-pdf package.

ruby-asciidoctor-pdf is:

An extension for Asciidoctor that converts AsciiDoc documents to PDF using the Prawn PDF library.

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install ruby-asciidoctor-pdf

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install ruby-asciidoctor-pdf.

sudo apt -y install ruby-asciidoctor-pdf

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install ruby-asciidoctor-pdf
