arched command not found

Introduction

When you run more command in linux terminal / console, you get the following error message

arched: command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: arched: command not found

In Ubuntu arched is provided by nordugrid-arc-hed package.

nordugrid-arc-hed is:

NorduGrid is a collaboration aiming at development, maintenance and support of the middleware, known as the Advanced Resource Connector (ARC).

The ARC Hosting Environment Daemon (HED) is a Web Service container for ARC services.

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install nordugrid-arc-hed

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install nordugrid-arc-hed.

sudo apt -y install nordugrid-arc-hed

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install nordugrid-arc-hed
