SalmID command not found

When you run more command in linux terminal / console, you get the following error message

SalmID: command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: SalmID: command not found

How To Fix SalmID: command not found in Ubuntu / Debian / Kali Linux / Raspbian

In Ubuntu SalmID is provided by salmid package.

salmid is:

SalmID enables rapid confirmation of Salmonella spp. and subspp. from sequence data. This is done by checking taxonomic ID of single isolate samples. Currently only IDs Salmonella species and subspecies, and some common contaminants (Listeria, Escherichia).

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install salmid

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install salmid.

sudo apt -y install salmid

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install salmid
