riemann-client command not found

riemann-client: command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: riemann-client: command not found

In Ubuntu riemann-client is provided by riemann-c-client package.

riemann-c-client is:

Riemann is a network event stream processor, intended for analyitics, metrics and alerting; and to glue various monitoring systems together.

This package provides a simple utility to send events to, or query a Riemann server.

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install riemann-c-client

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install riemann-c-client.

sudo apt -y install riemann-c-client

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install riemann-c-client
