parldyn command not found

parldyn: command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: parldyn: command not found

In Ubuntu parldyn is provided by libpar-packer-perl package.

libpar-packer-perl is:

PAR (Perl Archiving Toolkit) is a Cross-Platform Packaging and Deployment tool, dubbed as a cross between Java’s JAR and Perl2EXE/PerlApp.

This package contains the PAR component PAR::Packer, i.e. the modules and tools necessary for creating PAR archives and stand-alone executables.

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install libpar-packer-perl

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install libpar-packer-perl.

sudo apt -y install libpar-packer-perl

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install libpar-packer-perl
