osmo-bsc-sccplite command not found

Introduction

When you run more command in linux terminal / console, you get the following error message

osmo-bsc-sccplite: command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: osmo-bsc-sccplite: command not found

In Ubuntu osmo-bsc-sccplite is provided by osmocom-bsc package.

This is the BSC-only version of OpenBSC. It requires a Mobile Switching Center (MSC) to operate.

You might rather prefer to use osmocom-nitb which is considered a “GSM Network-in-a-Box” and does not depend on a MSC.

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install osmocom-bsc

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install osmocom-bsc.

sudo apt -y install osmocom-bsc

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install osmocom-bsc
