netconf-subsystem command not found

Introduction

When you run more command in linux terminal / console, you get the following error message

netconf-subsystem: command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: netconf-subsystem: command not found

In Ubuntu netconf-subsystem is provided by netconfd package.

netconfd is:

NETCONF provides a framework for the exchange of management information between agents (servers) and clients.

The yuma123 agent is a daemon which listens for incoming NETCONF requests from clients and provides responses.

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install netconfd

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install netconfd.

sudo apt -y install netconfd

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install netconfd
