mosh-client command not found

When you run more command in linux terminal / console, you get the following error message

mosh-client: command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: mosh-client: command not found

In Ubuntu mosh-client is provided by mosh package.

Mosh is a remote terminal application that supports:

intermittent network connectivity,
roaming to different IP address without dropping the connection, and
intelligent local echo and line editing to reduce the effects of “network lag” on high-latency connections.

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install mosh

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install mosh.

sudo apt -y install mosh

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install mosh
