lobase command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: lobase: command not found

In Ubuntu lobase is provided by libreoffice-base package.

libreoffice-base is:

LibreOffice is a full-featured office productivity suite that provides a near drop-in replacement for Microsoft(R) Office.

This package contains the database component for LibreOffice.

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install libreoffice-base

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install libreoffice-base.

sudo apt -y install libreoffice-base

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install libreoffice-base
