genwqe_peek command not found

genwqe_peek: command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: genwqe_peek: command not found

In Ubuntu genwqe_peek is provided by genwqe-tools package.

genwqe-tools is:

Accelerated libz implementation uses FPGA based PCIe cards (e.g. zEDC) to accelerate compression/decompression.

This package provides utilities to use libzADC, as well as gzip/gunzip names for genwqe utilities in a subdirectory not in $PATH.

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install genwqe-tools

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install genwqe-tools.

sudo apt -y install genwqe-tools

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install genwqe-tools
