bpf-ld command not found

bpf-ld: command not found

or when using sudo you get the following error message

sudo: bpf-ld: command not found

In Ubuntu bpf-ld is provided by binutils-bpf package.

binutils-bpf is:

binutils for the bpf target. This package is primarily for those developing for BPF and is not needed by normal users or developers.

To fix this problem, we can install more using the command below.

sudo apt-get -y install binutils-bpf

This command might take some time to finish depending on your machine internet connection.

You can also use apt command to install binutils-bpf.

sudo apt -y install binutils-bpf

Or if you have aptitude installed you can use the following command.

sudo aptitude install binutils-bpf
